A Brief History

Gifting cars to the community since 2016

How did the Christmas Car Project come into being?  In November 2016, Jason and Kristie Hansen had a neighbor who was a flight paramedic.  He was on a flight that crashed in Elko, Nevada, leaving behind a wife with three very young kids. She did not have a car suitable for three car seats.  The Hansen’s happened to have a Honda Odyssey van that they were planning to sell.  Instead, they called together the neighborhood, fixed it up and stuffed it full of presents.  Then with the help of a Santa Claus, they gifted the van to her.  The Christmas Car Project was born.
